Koorma Mudra (The Tortoise Gesture)

Description: Touch your left index finger with your right pinky finger. Next, join your right index finger with your left thumb and keep your right thumb pointing straight toward the sky. Now, using the support of the left middle finger, ring finger, and pinky finger, firmly hold the back of the right palm. Finally, touch the right middle and ring fingers to the left palm. This posture resembles the shape of a tortoise’s back.

Benefits: This mudra is most auspicious for worshiping the Divine, chanting hymns (stotras), and seeking divine blessings to please the god.
